CONVENTIONS
1, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED THE FOLLOWING CONVENTIONS SHALL APPLY FOR ALL HVAC SYSTEM SEQUENCES OF OPERATION CONTAINED HEREIN.
. IF A SENSED CHANGE RESULTS IN A PRESCRIBED ACTION', THE OPPOSITE OF THE SENSED CHANGE SHALL RESULT IN THE OPPOSITE ACTION,
. OCCUPIED UNOCCUPIED SCHEDULING SET POINTS AND SET POINT ADJUSTMENT SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER SHORTLY AFTER CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE....
4. SPECIFIC DIAGNOSTIC MESSAGES, AT A MINIMUM, SHALL INCLUDE:
a. SENSOR FAILURE. (IDENTIFY SENSOR)
b. PUMP IN HAND OPERATION. (IDENTIFY PUMP)
c. PUMP FAILURE. (IDENTIFY PUMP')
d. OUT OF LIMIT FOR NORMAL SYSTEM OPERATION. (ALL SENSORS)
e; LOSS OF COMMUNICATION. (IDENTIFY COMPONENT)
5. ALL POINTS COMPLETE WITH GRAPHICS,
P ICS, SHALL BE ACCESSIBLE REMOTELY VIA. THE WEB WITHOUT ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE. ALL SET POINTS SHALL BE ADJUSTABLE THROUGH THE
BAS. PROVIDE HYSTERESIS FOR SET POINTS. TYPICAL SET POINTS SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS:
a. TYPICAL OCCUPIED SET POINT RANGE FOR ROOD TEMPERATURES IS 707 DB HEATING, 787 DB COOLING, AND 50' RH.
b. UNOCCUPIED SET POINT SHALL BE 66T OB HEATING, 82-F DB COOLING AND 50% RH.
c. TYPICAL ALARM RANGE: 6'F DB ABOVE OR BELOW SET POINT.
d'!. MINIMUM ON/OFF TIME: 5/10 MINUTES.
6. UPON DETECTION OF ELECTRICAL LOSS OF PHASE, PHASE REVERSAL, LOSS OF POWER, HIGH OR LOW VOLTAGE THE BAS SHALL STOP ALL MOTOR DRIVEN EQUIPMENT UNDER ITS
CONTROL. UPON RESTORATION OF ELECTRICAL LOSS, THE BAS SHALL ENABLE COMPONENTS TO RESUME (OPERATION IN STAGES, TO AVOID UNNECESSARY ELECTRICAL DEMAND
SPIKES.
7. PROVIDE BUILDING COLOR CODED FLOOR PLAN THERMOGRAPH ZONED BY HVAC EQUIPMENT. EQUIPMENT TAGS SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER SHORTLY AFTER
CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE.
. REFER TO SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL BAS PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS.
GROUND -SOURCE HEAT PUMP LOOP2/M200
1. EITHER PUMP SHALL BE SELECTABLE TO BE THE LEAD PUMP. BOTH PUMPS SHALL BE OFF UNTIL THERE IS A NEED FOR WATER FLOW FROM ONE OR MORE HEAT PUMPS_ THE
NUMBER OF HEAT PUMPS NEEDED TO INITIATE THE LOOP FLOW SHALL BE EASILY CHANGED BY THE OPERATOR. THE LEAD PUMP SHALL ALTERNATE WEEKLY. SHOULD THE LEAD
PUMP FAIL, THE STANDBY PUMP SHALL AUTOMATICALLY BE STARTED AND AN ALARM SHALL BE GENERATED TO INDICATE THAT THE LEAD PUMP HAS FAILED,
2. NONE OF THE HEAT PUMPS' COMPRESSORS SHALL BE ALLOWED TO ENERGIZE UNTIL WATER FLOW IN THE LOOP IS PROVEN VIA THE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR, SHOULD
FOR SOME REASON THE LOOP SUPPLY TEMPERATURE DROP BELOW 507 OR RISE ABOVE 1057 DEGREES, ALL HEAT PUMP SHALL BE LOCKED OUT AND AN ALARM SHALL BE
GENERATED.
3. THE SYSTEM DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SHALL BE CONTROLLED BY MODULATING THE LEAD PUMP'S VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE (VFD). THE END OF THE LOOP BYPASS 'VALVE.
SHALL BE MODULATED OPEN TO MAINTAIN THE SYSTEM SET POINT ONLY AFTER THE PUMP VFD HAS MODULATED DOWN TO ITS MINIMUM SPEED.
4. SYSTEM GRAPHIC DISPLAY:
a. OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY..
