House is on public sewer but per Sam Shultz the issue is a plumbing problem that is the homeowner’s responsibility to fix. Plumbing line is causing sewage outbreak. Date of First Inspection:10-15-12 Environmental Health Specialist: Robbie Phelps Inspection Report: 10-15-12: Site visit made and confirmed straight pipe is coming out of the back of the house piping sewage on the ground. 10-16-12: NOV Sent. 11-2-12: Site visit made, problem not fixed. The tenant would not give me owner’s phone number so I gave them my number for the owner to contact me. 11-26-12: Have not heard from owner. Made site visit and problem still not fixed. I left my phone number again with a different tenant. 12-5-12: Referring to legal. “Leading the Way to a Healthier Community” Supervisor Assessment: To date no action has been taken to rectify the problem. This is rather surprising, since it is very likely an easy fix. I have had several conversations with Sam Schultz, Planner for the Town of Maiden, who is closely following action on this case. Please proceed with legal notification as appropriate.
