Upon investigation our department has determined that you are operating a foodhandling establishment without the required permit. You were at Vale Tractor Pull Hwy 10_ preparing and
selling_Potentialy Hazardous Food Items. State law governing the sanitation of restaurants and other food handling establishments which serve food to the public for pay requires the
following:
NCGS 130A-248(b) states in part:
“No facility shall commence or continue operation without a permit or transitional permit issued by the Department. The permit or transitional permit shall be issued to the owner or
operator of the establishment and shall not be transferable. If the establishment is leased, the permit or transitional permit shall be issued to the lessee and shall not be transferable.
If the location of an establishment changes, a new permit shall be obtained for the establishment. A permit shall be issued only when the establishment satisfies all of the requirements
of the rules.”
This letter shall serve as official notification that you must cease the preparation and sale of food to the public immediately and not to commence again until receiving a valid permit
to do so.
Please contact our office to learn how to apply for and obtain the required permit for operation. Our office hours are between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
