Thanks, Serdar -----Original Message-----2/7/2012 7:59 PM HQ LEAD NUMBER: FY12-92072-3708-CV SUBJECT: Referred to Region -North Carolina FROM: tajo59@aol.com TO: Name: Thomas A Oefelein Address: 4573 Wilkinson Dr City: Maiden State: North Carolina Zip: 28650 Phone: 828 994 1533 or 704 361 8074 Alleged Violator's Name: Joshua w Burris /J B'S Grading INC 828-217-0797 Alleged Violator's Address: 3893 So. Oliver's X Road Alleged Violator's City: Newton Alleged Violator's State: North Carolina Alleged Violator's Zip: 28658 Tip or Complaint: I lived in a house owned by the Burris family for 7 years. It was an old farm house located at 3834 So. Oliver's x rd newton N.C.the home was covered in asbestos shingles on the sides of the home. The fire dept would not let them burn the home, because of the siding being asbestos, so Joshua Burris tore the building down and buried it at an illegal brush dump that he had secured from a private person. The location of this dump is 2291 Balls creek rd. I am not sure what township it is located in, but it is not far from balls creek elementry school. approximately 2 to 3 miles west of hwy 16. I told him at that time not to take the debris to mooneys dump ( land owners name is Mike Mooney) it needed to be disposed of properly at the land fill. I was ignored and ordered to haul the debris there or I would be terminated. This dump has a water run off ditch running through the property. Right next to the area, where the home is buried, there is also metal, burned up buildings, and const, material, fiberglass from a communiction building and elect wiring all buried at this site. This site is located about 200 feet from Balls creek rd, hidden by a patch of woods on the left as you 3 drive in the property. I would be sure that Mike Mooney knew nothing about the asbestos being dumped there, all material dumped there by myself and at least 2 other drivers, by direct order of Joshua Burris, owner of J B'S Grading Inc. Specific Directions: If you were coming from the town of Newton, you would drive south on hwy 16 to the intersection of Providence Mill Rd and Balls Creek Rd. turn left onto Balls Creek Rd.,Drive approx 1 mile past Balls Creek Elementry school and 2291 Balls Creek Rd is on the left. It looks like a dirt road going through a grass field and into a wooded area, Any problems finding the location you may call either of my phone numbers for additional assistance.
