} This office received a complaint on February 2, 2012, conceraing,smoke emissions from the
} outdoor wood -fired stave at your rental Property at 70 Grace Church uadtt The ccrmpla narrt alleged
that possibly paper, plastic and other synthetic material,lwas being bu d. This letter serves, as a notice to
you or your tenants that only unadulterated wood c be burned in wood stoves. The bu tog of y
synthetic materials will subject the wood stove to the requirements in Title 1 SA North Carolina
Administrative Cade ( ,CAC) 21 .121 "Other Solid Waste Incineration Units," This rule specifies
jts stringent operational standards and air pollution emission limits tontaintain, compliance. To demonstrate
compliance with the specified operational standards the rate further requires annual performance testing as
well as monitoring and recordkeeping requirements. Be advised that outdoor wood stoves are not designed
to meet these stringent requirements. Copies of all North Carolina Air Quality Rules are available on our
