SUBJECT: ROUTER PIPING PROPOSAL - PLANT #2
PROPOSAL NUMBER - 11 -309A
Gentlemen:
We are pleased to submit our proposal for the design, fabrication, and
installation of the subject ROUTER PIPING PROPOSAL for the DIRECTION
FURNITURE PLANT #2 in NEWTON, NORTH CAROLINA as specified following
and in accordance to our proposal drawing.
BY AIR SYSTEMS MFG. OF LENOIR, INC.
Furnish and install a used ASM 36 cyclone with structural steel support (10'
clearance) and reconditioned 10" airloc, located as shown.
Furnish and install one (1) reconditioned Koger or equivalent Size 15 fan
package complete with a 40 hp motor, v -belt drives, and structural steel base
to be located on the existing pad adjacent to the building.
Furnish and install one (1) 16 bag plenum section located outside the building
as shown. Note bag section installed to return filtered air back inside plant.
Furnish and install piping and elbows as required to connect the following
machine to the inlet of the fan package as shown:
1) Shoda Router w/ (1) new 10" hood w/ flex and
(1) 8" flex tie -on
1) 8" future cap
Furnish and install piping and elbows as required to connect the discharge of
the fan to the inlet of the cyclone.
Furnish and install piping and elbows as required to connect the clean air
outlet of the cyclone to the air inlet of the plenum section as shown.

All elbows to be two gauges heavier than piping of an equivalent diameter.
Supports
Used Cyclone supports fabricated of structural steel shapes, bolted
construction, shop primed and painted.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
All piping and elbows will be fabricated from the previously specified
gauges, using G -90 prime grade galvanized metal, seams riveted and sealed,
tack welded and sealed, or welded solid.
All inside piping will be parallel and plumb to the two building axes (unless
shown otherwise) and securely hung with band iron hanger rings, band iron,
or angle iron supports.
All exposed pipe support steel outside will be painted one coat of primer.
All safety and access devices will meet OSHA Code Requirements at time of
start -up.
NOTE: Air Systems Mfg. of Lenoir, Inc. buys only prime grade G -90
galvanized metal. Air Systems Mfg. of Lenoir, Inc. cannot guarantee against
discoloration or white rust of metal.
TIME AND MATERIAL EXTRA TO CONTRACT
The following can be furnished by Air Systems Mfg. of Lenoir, Inc., but is not
included in the above proposed or quotation due to the uncertainty of the
amount or the exact requirements:
Any new hoods or revisions to present hoods required on woodworking
equipment unless noted previously.
Any extra trips required to project site due to delays in customer equipment
delivery or scheduling conflicts beyond our control.

THE FOLLOWING WORK WILL BE REQUIRED BY OTHERS
Required local or state permits, fees, and P. E. stamped drawings.
Receive and store our equipment and material shipments to job site.
Furnish an area inside building to store and assemble our piping.
All electrical wiring and controls.
Hole cutting and repairs.
Fire detection / suppression equipment.
Spark detection / suppression equipment.
Any revisions to roof steel required to support our piping.
Furnish access to a forklift.
Furnish a fire watch with equipment at all times in designated fire prevention
areas. We feel this is very important for the safety of your company property
and the personal safety of our field crews.
Dispose of present piping and equipment removed and not to be reused.
