Re: Clarification of Changes From Architect

***Please see attached drawing for area references listed below***
We have modified specific areas within the initial design (previously review) to accommodate the code
comments changes requested by Catawba County as well as made specific changes that have occurred
due to existing conditions uncovered at the building site during demolition. Please see lists below and
re submitted Construction document sets to correspond with the Mowing change explanations.
Area A:
- The conference rooms on the west wall have been arranged to allow for access between existing
structural bracing.
- The large internal toilet rooms have been rotated to allow for the existing structural bracing to remain.
These rooms are now accessed from opposite sides.
- The existing fire shutters off the break area have been reutilized. Therefore the openings into the
adjacent lobby have been modified to accommodate.
AREA B:
- The conference room configuration has been modified to allow for center hall access due to existing
structural bracing.
AREA C.
- per building code comments, each shower room has been modified to accommodate stalls in
accordance the ICC /ANSI A117.1 -2003 standards per NC requirements.
- Access doors to the rear offices have been eliminated to allow for the existing structural bracing to
remain. This change also required modification to the rear office hallway and the raestroom access along
the rated wall.
AREA D:
The operable wall was eliminated and replaced with a typical type wall.
