Hickory, N.C. 28601 Attn: Bill Rogers Plan Reviewer z Subj: William Jenkins Building Hickory, N.C. i Dear Bill: The building cooling load, based on 582 people at 15 cfm per person (8,730 cfin), is approximately 73.1 tons. At the present time, there are six (6) nominal 10 -ton rooftop gaspacks serving the existing building, for a total existing capacity of 60 tons. Approximately 1,455 cfm would have to be provided through each of the six (6) gaspacks, or 36% outside air, which is the upper limit of the outside air these systems could handle. My professional opinion is that the existing rooftop gaspacks have adequate capacity for the anticipated occupancy of 582 people. However, one hundred percent outside air economizers with enthalpy control and CO2 sensors would need to be added to each of the gaspacks to provide the required amount of outside air. 1 i If you have any questions or need further assistance, please let us know. s E Sincerely, i P& a 6/30/11 GEORGE O.
