FOR CATAWBA COUNTY BUILDING SERVICES DEPARTMENT
The following is a list of temporary electrical equipment and portable air conditioning units to be
used for the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn. The installation will be compliant with all applicable code
sections of the 1999/2002 NEC, specifically Articles 240, 250, 400, & 525, Single conductor 4/0 and
Multiconductor 6/5 Type W portable power cables shall be used in the installation with a rated ampacity of
400A and 60A respectively. Branch circuit conductors that feed duplex outlets shall be 10/5 Type SOW -A
portable power cable and are protected by 20A circuit breakers. Panel boards and disconnects are
assembled with U.L. listed components and are permanently attached to a freestanding metal frame.
