Dear Mr. Lamb,
We received your code comments for the above referenced project and offer the
following responses:
1. Revised drawing E4.1 with the revisions clouded has been submitted with these
responses.
2. It is our opinion that this facility meets the requirements of the following
paragraphs of the 2008 National Electrical Code: 230.2.132 and C1. The facility is
large and warrants a second service to the facility. Also, the load for the facility
exceeds 2000 amps. A plaque will be provided as required in 230.2.C.
3. Plans have been modified to indicate that the conductor and conduit sizes were
based on TI II IN / TIIWN and EMT conduit except at the service where PVC
conduit is being utilized.
4. Panel LVFRS has a 225/3 main circuit breaker and is within 10' of the
transformer that feeds it.
5. We clarified that panel HV WP is a double section panelboard.
6. New panel installations will comply with NEC article 110.26 for proper working
clearances.
