465-8392 “Keeping the Spirit Alive Since 1842!” Date: April 18, 2011 Mrs. Donald Lafone 4750 Harvard Street Conover, NC 28613 Subject: 4718 Princeton St. Conover, NC 28613 and 4702 Lee
Cline Rd., Conover, NC 28613 Dear: Mrs. Donald Lafone: Since all meetings and inspections were in your presence there was no written correspondence sent. Therefore here is a synopsis
of what was seen and agreed to by all parties present. I made my first inspection at 4718 Princeton St with you and your daughter and we spoke with the tenant Mr. William James on Feb.
3, 2011. I explained to Mr. James that all the solid waste (old gas tanks, tires, old furniture, various metal etc.) needed to be cleaned up and hauled off the property and the heavy
equipment needed to be removed off the property. We scheduled my next inspection for March 1, 2011 which which gave him three weeks to start the clean up. On March 1, 2011 we all met
on the property and Mr. James had made some progress with the removal of the solid waste. He still had not cleaned up all the solid waste (tires, old furniture, various metal etc.) and
the heavy equipment was still on the property. Mr. James was also asked to remove the block building. I agreed to give him another three weeks to complete the clean up and told him we
would be back on March 23, 2011. On March 23, 2011 we met on the property and he had removed the block building and all the solid waste had been removed except for a utility trailer
loaded with metal etc. ready to be hauled of, and had a few tires. He had tried to make the repairs on the heavy equipment but a hose on his backhoe broke so he was not able to hoist
the motor out of the equipment to replace the parts. We all agreed to give him three more weeks to haul off the solid waste on the utility trailer, remove the rest of the tires and get
the equipment fixed and removed off the property. I told Mr. James we would be back around April 18, 2011 for the final inspection. I made my first inspection at 4702 Lee Cline Rd on
Feb. 3, 2011 with you and your daughter and we spoke with the tenant. I explained that all the solid waste (old wood, various metal and tires) needed to be removed from behind the utility
building. We

we all met on the property and they had removed the metal from behind the building but all the old wood and buried tires were still there. They said the previous tenant had left all
the tires and old wood. The property owner said since they did not take ownership to what was there they would clean it up so if there was anything that the tenant did not want to keep
it would all be removed by the property owner. We agreed to make the next inspection on March 23, 2011. On March 23, 2011 we met on the property and an old camper top, machinery parts,
various metal, tires, etc. still needed to be removed off the property. I walked around the property with the tenant and showed them what needed to be removed and we agreed that I would
be back for a final inspection around April 18, 2011. Sincerely, Kim Sue Code Compliance Technician
