A review of this project was conducted. Summaries of the comments are in the
following notes.
This review does not constitute a check of all technical code items and does not
prevent the code official from requiring further additions and / or corrections.
' This review also does not relieve the design professional of full responsibility for
compliance with all the provisions of the technical codes and other pertinent laws or
ordinances.
All utilization equipment either Gas or Electric is required to be Listed or Labeled by a
Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory approved by the North Carolina Department of
Insurance.
I. This review is for the revision to the plan.
2. Nobody shall be allowed to occupy this portion of the building without approval of
the Building Services Official.
3. The issuance of a permit or approval of plans or specifications shall not be
deemed or construed to be approval of any violation of any of the provisions of
the codes.
4. All interior finishes shall comply with the North Carolina Building Code Table
803.4.
5. Adequacy of emergency exit lighting and signage will be checked in the field.
6. The integrity of all firestopping and draftstopping shall be maintained using
approved materials and designs per the North Carolina Building Code section
702 using materials listed and labeled by an approved agency and installed per
Mfg. instructions.
7. All electrical service installations shall comply with the 2005 NEC. Special
emphasis on articles 230.2, 230.70A, and 230.72 shall apply.
8. Where suspended type ceilings are installed and form a concealed space, any
room without a ceiling shall have the walls terminate tight against the floor or roof
deck above for firestopping.
