LOOPER, INC REFERENCE: REPLY TO REVIEW COMMENTS DATED 02 -21 -11 BUILDING STATUS: (COMPLETE - DISAPPROVED) Comment # 1: A written response to the comments in the order they appear in this correspondence as well as appropriate clouded revisions to the plans shall be provided. (We shall comply) Comment # 2: Provide 60 inch circular turning diameter in Exam room 1, 2, 3 and 4. (See attached revised drawing -A+15 t ,8,, A . ) FIRE STATUS: (PLAN RECEIVED - APPROVED WITH NOTES) Comment # 1: Appendix B identifies a fire alarm system for this space, Electrical sheets does not detail a fire alarm system. Verify if a Fire Alarm System (audible /visual notification devices) is being installed or if there is only a Fire Alarm Panel only in this building to monitor the required Sprinkler system. (A Fire Alarm System will be installed) PAGE 1 OF 2 Comment # 2: If a fire alarm system with notification devices is to be installed, Engineered signed and sealed Fire Alarm System plans would be required. Fire alarm contractor shall obtain a permit from the Fire Prevention Bureau prior to any installation of the fire alarm system. A copy of submittal requirements and applications are available upon request, 828 -323- 7522 or available on line at http: / /www.hickorygov.com /department/ /division.php ?fDD =8- 13 (We shall comply) Comment # 3: Sprinkler contractor shall obtain a permit from the Fire Prevention Bureau prior to beginning any installation /renovation of the sprinkler /standpipe system. (We shall comply) GENERAL NOTES: 1. Street numbers shall be posted on the building and visible from the roadway. Numbers shall contrast with their background. Numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches high with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inches. 2. Portable fire extinguishers shall be selected, installed and maintained in accordance with Section 906 of the 2009 North Carolina Fire Prevention Code and NFPA 10. 3. See 09 North Carolina Building Code Chapter 33 Safeguards During Construction and sections of 09 North Carolina Fire Prevention Code Chapter 14 Fire Safety During Construction and Demolition that would be applicable to this project. 4. The building space shall not be occupied prior to the code official issuing a permit that indicates that applicable provisions of the NC Fire Code has been met. 5.
