Per your request, Kenneth E. Carr Is providing an engineered concrete retaining wall design for
Vie referenced project.
The proposed retaining wall (see attached detail) has a stem height of 11 -feet or 12 - feet
(maximum) per the detail. The footing is to be constructed per the attached detail depending on
the stem height desired and contains #5 dowels at the on- center spacing shown for the stem
height selected. The 10 -inch thick concrete stem Contains vertical and horizontal #4 bars
spaced as shown, depending on the stem height.
Concrete used shall attain minimum design strength Of 3000 -psi compressive strength 028
days
Sased on the above design, the cast in place concrete retaining wait shall provide adequate
support for the intended use in accordance with the North Carolina State Residential Builcirg
Code.
