CLOSURE REPORT
ASDESTOSREMOVAL/ ELCANT STRUCTURE
1354 PRISON CAMP ROADI NEWTON. N.C.
L DESCRtPTIONOFWORKPERFORMED
The removal of asbestos tar on metal with white coating, and far on fiber glass panels.
Thiv material war scattered through a debris pile from the former Wood Dryer Kiln building.
The materials were removed using hand tools and wet methods. The non friable removal
required no permitting and the asbestos remained a non - regulated material.
IL DISPOSAL
All asbestos containing materials removed from this project were placed in properlv
labeled, leak tight impermeable containers and transported by Carolina Air Tech to a locked
storage container for disposal at an approved landfill
1I1. CONCLUSIONS
The removal, cleanup and disposal of the above referenced scope ofwork was conducted
in accordance with all applicable EPA and OSHA guidelines, and performed byproperly trained
and accredited workers and supervisors. The buildings are ready jar demolition.

was requested to collect samples of suspect mbestos containing materials (ACM) from the above listed
address which iu l,d,s a pile of material from a demolished former wood kiln building and ea crzisting
boiler huilding. The purpose of this sampling activity was intended to comply with the National Emission
Standard for Hraardous Air Poilm:mts, (NESHAPS) only and not the Asbaemw Hazard Reaurhoriraticn Act
(AHERA) smndards far conducting asbestos inspections.
Sample Summsry: Samples of saspmr ACMs collected fmm dte pile of the demolished woad kiln
building material includes a sample of the foam board w /folt paper (Sample WH -01), a ffberglas panel
w,black tar (Sample WK-02), the tar on the white metal sheets (Sanple WH -03) and die rubber membrane
roof mazetial (Sanple, WH-t14). Samples of suspect ACMs collected from the boiler bundmiz includes a
sample ofthe boiler insulation (Sample BB -01), the wallboard material (Sample BB -02) and a boiler gasket
(Sample BB-03). No additional suspect ACMs were observed.
Aaalyrleel results: The fiberglass panel w/black tar (Sample WH -02) and the rar on are white metal sheets
(W 8 -03) in the pile were identi fied as ACMs. Nurse ofdte remaining samples collected and analyred were
