Dew Mr. Strom,
As requested, I have designed a wood structure for the rear terrace in lieu of the steel
strucbae specified on the design drawings at the aforementioned property. The terrace
shall be composed of 2x12'3 spanning approximately 12' -0" at 16" ox. They shall attach
to the existing ledger at the exterior wall. The headers at the outer edge of the trarwe,
shall be composed of (3) 1 3 /. x 11 �'A LVL's. These members shall spas a maximum of
13' -0". The posts supporting these headers shall be a 6x6 wood post or a steel column as
originally specified. A brick angle shall be attached to the headers per bulletin 1.

In addition, I inspected the framing for the front covered parch. The in place framing is
sufficient and meets all applicable loading requirements as specified in the North
Carolina Residential Building Code, 2006 edition.
