As per our previous conversation with Mr. Armin Walser of your department, as the engineer of
record, I recommend and approve the use of the ProPress piping system for pipingl -1/2" and
larger in lieu of soldered joints. The contractor may at his option use either method on piping
smaller than 1 -1/2 ".
If there are any questions or comments, please advise.

NSF 61: Drinking Water System Components — Health Effects
This standard establishes minimum health effects requirements for the chemical contaminants
and impurities that are indirectly imparted to drinking water from products, components and
materials used in drinking water systems. This standard does not establish performance or taste
and odor requirements for drinking water system products, components, or materials.
NSF: NSF International
NSF's Mechanical Plumbing Certification Program: Products certified to U.S. requirements by
NSF demonstrate compliance to U.S. Plumbing Codes. NSF's Mechanical Plumbing Program
evaluates plumbing fittings and other products. NSF is also a recognized testing agency by
