Catawba, NC Dear Mr. Mackie: This letter is confirming the approval of your request for a special use permit for an accessory dwelling /guesthouse at the above referenced property. The subject parcel is zoned R -40 residential. The Catawba County Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, July 31, 2007. At this meeting, the Board unanimously approved your request for a special use permit for a 900 square foot accessory dwelling located on the site. Any future additions to the building to increase the square footage would require future approval from the Board of Adjustment.
