Re'. Retaining Wall Certification - Shady Rest RV Park

As the design professional of record for the above - mentioned project, a structural
inspection was performed on the concrete modular retaining wall systems on August 23,
2007. The purpose of the inspection was to provide certification of the wall construction
and installation.
The retaining walls vary in height from four(4) feet to eight(12) feet and are modular
concrete blocks, 2'x2' x6', with interlocking posts.. Based upon the results of the
inspection, the walls have been constructed in accordance with the specifications of the
manufacturer and Sections 1806 and 1610 of the North Carolina Building Code.
The walls have been embedded and installed as required. Geotech material has been
installed at the recommended elevations. The backfill material has been compacted as
specified and #58 stone has been placed as recommended.
This letter is provided as certification that all walls meet the structural requirements and
design parameters for sectional block retaining walls.
