Structural Note
All reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A615-81-SI, Grade 60, All reinforcing
steel shall be adequately supported and securely tied to prevent dislocation during
concrete Placement. Lap all continuous steel 48 diameters minimum at splices unless
noted otherwise. Reinforcing steel shall be clean of all mud, debris. loose rust, cement.
grout, or any other deleterious material which may inhibit proper 'bond between steel
and concrete,
All welded wire fabric shall conform to ASTM A185. 3, Spread footing design is based on an assumed allowable bearing f

Wall footings to be supported on undisturbed residual or engineered fill w`,,,7,�a
minimum bearing capacity of 3000 psf,
4• Cast in place concrete to have 28 day compressive strength of 3000 psi in -footings and
bearing fill. Concrete slab on grade shall be 4"thick, 3500 psi with 6x6 10/10 wwra
reinforcement.
5, All structural light wood framing shall be no, 2 grade Southern Pine, Plywood or
O.S.13, sheathing shall be nailed per NC Building Code schedules.
6. All wood trusses shall be #2 grade marked Southern Pine with Fb = 1400 psi
minimum. Extend top chords for cave overhangs as required.
All wood trusses shall be designed by a structural engineer licensed to practice in the
state of NC. Designs shall be signed and sealed by same and shall be submitted to the
architect for approval. Fabrication shall be a member of the Truss Plate Institute.
Submit shop drawings showing layout of trusses and related structural framing,
including dimensions, materials, grades, stress values, connectors, anchorage and
relationship to adjacent work. Trusses shall be designed for -the following loads:
Top chord dead load: 15 psf
Bottom chord dead load: 10 psf
Top chord live load: —9 0 psf
