The undersigned observed the placement of footings and caissons of the above structure. The
materials and construction specifications are as follows:
• Piers: Interior piers are 2' diameter.
• Soils: Augured to granular soil, estimated to exceed 5000 PSF at a depth of —8'.
• Footings: 24" x 10" minimum.
• Stonc: 4" depth, placed under footings when plastic soils are encountered,
• Concrete: 3000 PSI with 4" to 6" slump,
• Steel: 3 #5 rebars placed equally in footings with 3' lapping at splices.
• Caissons- 2' diameter. Spaced 81-10'under continuous footings poured monolithic
it is my opinion that the materials and construction methods used meet the North Carolina
State Building Code.
