Box 31097 Charlotte, NC 28231 This letter is a follow up to the phone conversation of last week involving North Carolina State Building Code requirements and Subterranean termite -fffe-1Wo-rfFr,arolina Department of Agriculture, Structural Pest Control Division. Section 323.1 of the North Carolina State Residential Building Code titled "Subterranean termi control" states,* Methods of protection shall be by chemical soil treatment or other methods approved by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.' Nothing in the North Carolina Residential Building Code was intended to require any special type of soil treatment for any particular type of construction.
