This letter is written to address 2 items front the rough -in inspection.
A - The Contractor used '/2" wedge anchors in lieu of anchor bolts around the building
perimeter. This type of connection is acceptable.
B - Where the new room ran-res onto the existing roof, a 2x 12 was laid flat across
existing roofing, with the rafters framed onto .his 2x 12- The existing shingles were not
removed prior to the installation ofthis 2xI2. Although it would have been better to have
removed, the shingles, I see no structural problem with this application. Also, it is better
not to expose the existing roof area to potential water damage by having the existing roof
compromised.
