RE: Modification of Walnut Ridge at Rock Barn

Dear Mr. Woodlief
after discussion and site visit on October 30, 2008, 1 approved the following
modifications to the Walnut Ridge at Rock Barn erosion control plans.
Sheet 3 of 21 shows two small sediment basins on the east side of the creek crossing
(TSB #7 and TSB #8). By grading the roadway bed and stabilizing the roadway
shoulders, the two small sediment basins may be eliminated. The storm water that falls
in the roadway bed will be redirected along what will eventually be the gutter line, into a
slope drain and thus into TSB #10. The roadway shoulders and other disturbed areas
adjacent and draining to the two small ponds will be seeded immediately upon
completion of rough grading. Storm drain installed at a later date will be adequately
protected until the site is stabilized.
Additional measures may be required as field conditions dictate
