As requested, ECS Carolinas, LLP visited the Conover Metal Products, Inc. facility at 315
McLin Creek Road, P.O. Box 1147, Conover, North Carolina 28613 on November 14, 2008.
The purpose of our visit was to verify that the fabricator maintains quality control procedures
for workmanship and the ability to conform to approved drawings, project specifications, and
reference standards. This report details the activities and findings of our audit.
PERSONNEL
Upon arrival at the site, an entrance interview was held to discuss the scope and practice of the
audit. An outline of audit points was provided to representatives. Representing Conover Metal
Products, Inc. at the entrance interview was Mr. Andy Gore, Vice President and Mr. Dean
Starnes, Plant Superintendent.
AUDIT ACTIVITIES
ECS obtained a brief company background of Conover Metal Products, Inc. and its capabilities.
We performed a brief overview of the quality program, internal purchase controls, material
controls, process controls, inspection controls, process and environmental controls, and
documentation controls. Our audit consisted of the review of several randomly selected
documents and processes in each of the above mentioned areas that were related to the Pin
Station project.
