As per North Carolina General Statute 153A -361 and 160A -421, you are hereby
ordered to stop work forthwith: All interior renovations that consist of electrical,
plumbing, mechanical and building construction. (This does not affect exterior
alterations granted by Building Permit # BLD2008- 02143. )
Reason for order: Failure to submit plans and specifications by a NC Registered
Design Professional for review and issuance of building permits in accordance with
General Statute 153A -357 and 160A -417.
Conditions under which the work may resume: Submit 3 sets of interior alteration plans
and specifications to the Conover Zoning Department and 3 sets of interior alteration
plans and specifications to the Catawba County Permit Center located at 100-A SW
Boulevard Newton, NC for review and approval. Plans and specifications are required to
address plumbing, mechanical, electrical and building construction alterations and shall
be prepared by a NC Registered Design Professional. Once plans are approved
building permits can be issued and construction may resume.
Violation of this stop order shall constitute a Class 1 misdemeanor.
