Background
In 1983 Larry Drums of Drum's Used Auto Parts requested an extension of his legal non - conforming
use building to be able to add 15-ft to back of building, 30 -ft addkion along the front of the building and
re -roof the building.
The Board of Adjustment granted the extension stating that it was not detrimental to the neighborhood
A motion was made by Kenneth Propst, seconded by Grady Abernethy to grant this request. The
motion was passed unanimously on May 31, 1983.
Property was listed on Tax map 1500 —104A
Recommendation
After reviewing tax map and conducting some research, staff has found that this non - conforming
extension was placed on the wrong parcel. Drums Used Auto Parts should have been tax map 1500-
104. Therefore, staff has corrected this mistake and placed the non - conforming extension -58 to the
coract parcel.

GENERAL INFORMATION
APPLICANT: Larry Drum - Drum's Used Auto Parts
REQUESTION ACTION: Granting an extension of an existing non-
conforming use and Building.
PURPOSE: Larry Drum is requesting the right to enlarge
his existing building as shown on the map.
His use of the auto salvage garage is a legal
non - conforming use and the existing building
is non - conforming because it does not meet the
front yard setback requirement of 30 feet.
LOCATION: This one and one -half (11�) acre tract is
located in Clines Township, along Springs Road,
north of Rifle Range Road.
