The wall is approximately 5' -0" in height at its maximum with a level backfill, and will be constructed with HIGHLAND STONE segmental - locking units at a 10.6 setback. The wall shall be backfilled with compacted porous gravel and reinforced with 5' -0" lengths of geogrid located vertically at approximately 1/3- points of the wall height (elevations 2'- 0" and 4' -0" below upper grade elevation). The gravity of the compacted backfill along the length of the 5' -0" geogrid is utilized to resist the active soil pressure of the retained backfill. The wall as described is adequate to resist the anticipated soil pressures. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
