Pg C -1— Per NCFC 508.5.1 — Where a portion of the facility or building hereafter constructed or moved into or within the jurisdiction is more the 400 feet (122m) from a hydrant on a fire apparatus access road, as measured by an approved route around the exterior of the building, on -site fire hydrants and mains shall be provided where required by the fire code official. The hydrant indicated on the plans exceeds this distance when measured along the apparatus routes to the front of the facility. RESPONSE — WILL COMPLY a new hydrant is shown on the site plan, however owner wants to explore the option of using another existing hydrant. Instead of adding one. 2. Per NCFC 505.1— New and existing buildings shall have approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building identification placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background. Address numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters. Numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches (102mm) high with G l minimumm stroke idth of .5 inches (12.7mm). Coordination with the Catawba County Department will be required to ensure proper numbering.
