RE:Soil Evaluation Summary
1396 Ron Whicker Dr.
BOSS Project#: 2041
On March 30, 2023, BOSS personnel performed a soil evaluation on lot 68 at 1396 Ron Whicker Dr.
in Catawba County described as PING 471001061458 for a residence. Four pits(P1-P4)were
evaluated.
P1 was 48 inches deep, with textures that ranged from sandy loam at the soil surface and
transitioned to a clay loam with depth. There was adequate structure,consistence,and
acceptable mineralogy with no indications of wetness.
P2 was 48 inches deep,with textures that ranged from sandy loam at the soil surface that
transitioned to a clay and then clay loam with depth. There was adequate structure,
consistence, and acceptable mineralogy with no indications of wetness.
P3 was 48 inches deep,with textures that ranged from sandy loam at the soil surface that
transitioned to a clay and then clay loam with depth. There was adequate structure,
consistence,and acceptable mineralogy with no indications of wetness.
P4 was 48 inches deep,with textures that ranged from sandy loam at the soil surface that
transitioned to a clay loam with depth. There was adequate structure,consistence,and
acceptable mineralogy with no indications of wetness.
The soils that were evaluated were found to be suitable for onsite wastewater septic disposal. A septic
layout and design will be needed to verify how many bedrooms the parcel can support.
