Owner: catherem Pa,; Date: 2023-07-30 Document Re CEJLP-SL4NF-XZWU4-67GQ3 ONE Environmental Group of Carolina, PLLC Application for Residential On-Site Sewage Treatment and Disposal System 5265 Birchleaf Lane Claremont, North Carolina 28610 % NE ONE ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP Prepared for: Liberty Land Group, LLC August 2023 INTRODUCTION ONE Environmental performed an on-site subsurface wastewater system investigation on 1.11 acres (PIN: 375402951855) located at 5265 Birchleaf Lane, Claremont, Catawba County, North Carolina on April 4,and July 12,2023. The plan is for a 4 bedroom home. The property was evaluated in accordance with North Carolina statutes for waste disposal ("Laws and Rules for Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems",Sections.1940 through.1944). This LSS evaluation is being submitted pursuant to and meets the requirements of G.S. 130A- 335(a2). Based on this evaluation a 4-bedroom, septic layout has been conducted in the field to document there is enough space for an initial and repair system. A copy of an expired permit for this property is also attached. INVESTIGATION METHODOLOGY Soil borings were made with a hand-turned auger in the study area. Observations of the landscape (slope, drainage patterns, past use, etc.)as well as soil properties(depth, texture, structure, seasonal wetness, restrictive horizons, etc.) to a depth z 48 inches when possible were recorded. Soil color was determined with a Munsell Soil Color Chart. From these observations, potentially suitable areas for wastewater disposal were identified. FINDINGS Five hand auger borings were made within or in the vicinity of the proposed drainfield areas, logged, and their locations are shown in the Soil Boring Location Exhibit.Soil Boring logs are attached. Depth to saprolite or partially weathered rock, steep slopes, and drainage swales were limiting factors for the site. There was an area delineated that had at least 40 inches to saprolite (See attached Soil Boring Location Exhibit). It is estimated that this area is approximately 19,000 ft2. SYSTEM DESIGN 4 bedroom house A design flow of 480 gallons per day as well as a long term acceptance rate (LTAR)of 0.35 gpd/sq ft was used in the calculation of the required sizing of the septic system. The initial and repair systems will use an Accepted Status System to receive a 25% reduction in length. The initial system and repair will be a pressure manifold. The total trench length for initial and repair systems is 680 feet. Drian lines will be placed on 9- foot centers. The recommended trench bottom depth is 24 inches for both systems. A soil cap that extends 5 feet beyond the trenches is required. The septic tank will need to have a minimum capacity of 1,000 gallons. The initial proposed septic system (See the Septic Layout Exhibit) is over 100 feet away from existing wells. Attached are the wastewater soil/site evaluation forms, location sketch of borings, and system layout. ONE Environmental Group of Carolina, LLC 2 The septic installer contractor shall install the primary system on contour, see the attached site plan for the primary system. Installation must meet all state and local regulations for septic system installation. The area designated on the site plan for the septic system and repair must remain undisturbed (no mechanical clearing, excavation, heavy traffic, or other significant site disturbing activities) until authorized by the health department.
