Your wastewater system is not in compliance with applicable laws and rules. On May 11th an inspection of the wastewater system by the Catawba County Environmental Health Department indicated the following violations: Violation Law or Rule Citation Effluent on the ground surface 15A NCAC 18A.1961 (a)(1)(A) You are hereby ordered to bring your wastewater system into compliance by completing the following: Install/repair wastewater system. You must obtain a repair permit from the local health department prior to repairing your system. Eliminate wastewater discharge and connect to an approved wastewater system. Date of First Inspection: 5/11/2022 Environ. Health Specialist: Dean Evans Inspection Report: Initial investigation found sewage on the ground. Notice of Violation letter was mailed to owner on 5/18/2022. Property owner applied for repair permit on 6/9/2022. Site visit on 7/20/2022 found that tank had recently been pumped and system was not failing at that time. Follow-up visits on 8/24/2022, 10/3/2022, and 11/21/2022 found septic continuing to fail.
