ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS ©Re-sampling is recommended in 5 years. n Immediate re-sampling is recommended to confirm results prior to installing a treatment system. n You may want to install a treatment system or consider other options like bottled water or connecting to a public water supply, if possible. Treatment system options for organic contaminants are: Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filters and Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems. Consult with your local well water contractor to determine the best option for your residence. If you purchase a water treatment system, resampling is recommended after installing the system to ensure that the treatment system is working as intended. Note that systems will require ongoing maintenance to ensure proper operation. For further information, please contact the Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Branch at 919-707-5900
