Comment: Sheet CR: Revise the actual building area for the "S1 " occupancy listed under allowable area. • Response: Actual area indicated. Per 508.3.1, S1 Occupancy qualifies as accessory 6. Comment: Sheet A -1: A Building column is missing at column line 5 & X. • Resuonse: Building column shown, column lines adjusted 7. Comment: Sheet A -1: The doors for the wheelchair accessible toilet stall shall be self - closing per ICC / ANSI A117.1 -2003 Section 604.8.3. • Resuonse: Stall doors will be hung so they swing closed without assistance 8. Comment: Sheet A -1: The IL secure files room and IL file secure storage room have type P -3 walls everywhere except a few places. Do you mean for all the walls to go to the structure above? Revise as required. • Response: P3 indicates no sound batt required 9. Comment: Sheet A -2: Provide details for the canopies. Include a letter from the canopy manufacturer on their company letterhead that the canopies meet 90 mph wind loading and 15 psf snow loading. Provide details for fastening the canopies to the building, including fastener size (diameter, length, type) and spacing. • Response: Canopy manufacturer will provide loading and calculations. Structural engineer will provide required details. 10. West Construction's project in Hickory. There are three canopies five feet in projection by five feet wide, one canopy six feet in projection by eight feet wide. The canopies will be constructed with roll - formed fascia and roof panels. The fascia will be .050, the roof panels .032. The fascia will be attached to the wall with Tapcon ma- sonry fasteners. The overhead support brackets will be attached to the masonry wall with lag screws. Engineering charts furnished us by the manufacturer indicate that this installation will perform in excess of 20 pounds per square foot of live load and a 90 mph uplift.
