Construction documents for the Newton- Conover Middle - new school project were mehred on December 28,
2009. The following architectural review comments are submitted to the designer and the Newton Conover city
Schools for consideration in accordance with G.S.116Ca21. Comments by other disciplines, if any, will be
forw2rded under separate cover. A Certificate of Review will be issued after plan review has been completed.
Code The newest edition of the Building Code Acoaasibility provisions require a second sceeswe
bathroom stall when six or more flushing rodur+es are provided. The fixture count includes
u rinals. - This Wiles to bathrooms shown on Sheet A4.02

supervise. While at is understood that a second exit is required from the Boller Room the
configuration of the long recess compounded by the fenced area will be difficult to secure and
mBWftn safe. The second Boiler Room brit can also be provided as a vertical ladder to a roof
hatch.
15. Health A Bathroom accessible directly from the Health Room is recommended for ease or use and
