Sheet A-1: Verify compliance with Article 210.62 of the 2005 NEG... Architect's Response: 1. Cover sheet / applicable codes have been updated 2. Project is to be fully accessible. Existing handicapped parking directly in front of store is to remain, the storefront canopy sidewalk is flush with the parking lot, therefore a ramp is not needed. Accessible drinking fountain and bathrooms are also provided. Existing area of rescue at rear exit, including existing intercom and emergency lighting to remain. 3. Vertical grab bar is now shown on 2/A-3 (FYI your comment referred to 601.4.1.2.2 which are the tub requirements rather than (504.5.1 for the toilet grab bars but the request was understood). 4. Drinking fountain Elevations are now shown as detail '1/A-3 5. Water heater isometric detail now shown on detail 6/A-3 6. Plumbing note #10 on A-3 has been updated 'i. Riser Diagram has been revised to show 2" wet vent Continued... s 5. Exhaust fan specifications now included in fixture key Cl. Egress through intervening space: a. Stock hazard is of same hazard as main retail area b. No more than 50% of exit access is through the stockroom c. Stockroom is not subject to locking from egress side d. A 44" wide aisle through the stockroom is now depicted as well as a railing system to provide physical demarcation. 10.Existing egress illumination at rear exit discharge area of rescue was not previously shown, but will remain. YVe have also added a note to the fixture key to clarify to the contractor that they must verify F that the lights will meet the 1 footcandle requirement at floor level of the egress route. 11.
