Supporting Documents for Superior Self Storage Sign Permit
This permit is for two separate spreads of lettering on the front of the Superior Self Storage
building. This lettering is in addition to lettering on the current building which was previously
installed under separate permit. This supporting document shows the following:

Description of the New Sign
NAyX -a;gh =few /so ~ Directly over the entrance to the building in the center facing the street is the telephone
number in 15 inch individual letters. This portion of the sign is 106 inches long x 15 inches high
for a total of 11 square feet.
The second portion of the sign is to the right of the center. It is composed of the words
"Climate Control in 12 inch letters. This portion of sign is 20 foot long for a total of 2.5 a20~
square feet. The total of the two sign portions is 3.5 quare feet.

Installation:
s
A pattern for the letters is provided by the manufacturer (Gemini). The pattern will be laid out
to provide an installation pattern as shown on Figure 1. We lay out the pattern, drill holes into
the brick or ceramic wall to match the stud size. The studs are then screwed into the back or
the letters. The studs are coated with silicone and pressed into the holes in the brick. The
resulting letters will resist winds far in excess of the required 90 miles per hour.

Stud Mounting
Studs are metal threaded posts on the rear of the
Formed Plastic Sign Letters. The studs are 4 inches
long.

The following figure shows the channel letters that pre-existed on the left side of center.
The channel letters are composed of a set of 18 inch letters "Superior" on the top and a
set of 24 inch letters on the bottom "SELF STORAGE." The two portions make up 64
square feet.
