I’m going to get with Armin and see what all his division will need and then create a letter. I’ll give it to Debra to look at and then she’ll let Tom Lundy know so he’ll be prepared for the inevitable phone call. It may take a day or two to get it done to everyone’s satisfaction… One thing to note after talking with Jacky and Debra: there are right-of-way issues with Baker’s Mountain Road (SR 1122) so Mr. Long may indeed “own” the road, or he may not. Planning is looking into it more closely but I wanted you to know in case you get any questions, you can refer them to Planning. Also, I had a gentleman come in to complain about his neighbor building up a berm that is now rutting Mauldin Road (off Welding Shop Road). Mr. Nelson Howard (828-324-6827) would like someone to go look at it and see what can be done, if you call him he’ll meet you out there tomorrow after 3:30. It’s not a State maintained street (more like a goat path) so DOT isn’t going to do anything. See if you can tell if the damage is done by some sort of construction. I already warned him that there may not be anything we can do. If you can’t catch Mr. Howard, then please call Steven Mauldin at 828-324-7674 to meet you there. Nothing like vocal people to make our lives a little more exciting! Thanks.
