A Forestry gal is speaking right now, though I'm not sure she's giving me any
useful information...

I went to the property located on Smith Rd and looked at the Dam that broke.
They have repaired the damaged section as you can see with fresh dirt in the
photos. However, they have not installed any kind of erosion measures to
stabilize the area at that time.
The complainant also told me that they had cleared trees from the property
without putting up measures. From the 2005 and 2009 aerials it appears that
approximately 2 acres has been removed.
The property in question is land-locked Parcel ID: 2687-02-68-9373 Owners
Name: JOHN DAVEY TOWNSEND
He lives at 7263 W NC 10 HWY Vale
Please let me know how to proceed. Do I only ask them to install BMP measures
on the outer wall of the pond? Can I require them to obtain an Erosion Permit
for the trees that were removed - it doesn't appear to have permanent
stabilization on the exposed soil around the pond.
Let me know.
Thanks
