Summary of Services Performed (field test data, locations, elevations & depths are estimates) S Individuals Contacted. The undersigned arrived on site, as requested, to observe the excavation of footings for the dumpster pad. When I arrived the contractor had already excavated and undercut two areas of the footing. The areas measured 29'x2.5'x4'=10.7 and 15'x2.5'x5'=6.9. A total of 17.6 cubic yards. These areas were already excavated and the undersigned was informed of the measurements. Please see the attached sketch. The areas were backfilled with #57 washed stone. Concrete was not placed today. Utilizing a Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (ASTM STP-399) to check the bearing capacity of soil at the aforementioned locations, test results indicated that soils, at the areas and elevations tested, were capable of supporting a foundation designed for a net allowable bearing capacity of 3000 psf. The contractor was informed if the footings were not protected from the weather these results could change. By Lynn G.
