The issuance of this permit by the Health Department does not guarantee the issuance of other permits. It is the responsibility of
the applicant/property owner to insure that all Catawba County Planning/Zoning and Building Inspections requirements are met.
This Improvement Permit is subject to revocation if the site plan, plat or the intended use changes,or if site conditions are altered.
The Improvement Permit is not affected by a change in ownership of the property. This permit was issued in compliance with the
provisions of the North Carolina 'Laws and Rules for Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems' (ISA NCAC ISA .1900). Neither
Catawba County nor the Environmental Health Specialist warrants that the septic tank system will continue to function
satisfactorily for any given period of time.

Comments:
This property had been previously permitted by Catawba County for a four bedroom residence. MA&A
have re-evaluated this property because the owner added fill in the proposed drainfield area. The fill
depths range from 15" to approximately 36", (The attached soil sheets show the depth of fill for each soil
observation. Because the soils were previously permitted, we only determined the depth of fill in each
soil observation.) We are proposing to install a new PPBPS system. The system should be installed 22"
deep in the naturalsod. The amount of fill will vary. We laid out the system taking in account the
varying depth of fill so that the lines could be installed at a consistent depth in the natural soil. Each of
the PPBPS lines should have an air vent on each end of the each line as per manufacturer's specification
(2 vents per line). We are proposing to use the existing bed for 2 bedrooms credit and add drip irrigation
in the 50' buffer for the additional 2 bedrooms. The property was recorded in 1964, so the septic line can
be 5' from the property line.
