Additional Specifications: There was not enough room for a full sized repair so using best professional judgement all available
space is utilized to get approximately 65% of a full repair. Lines under driveway must be sleeved in
ductile iron or equivalent. Maximum trench depth in front will be 36 inches for the PPBPS (2 ft
trench width); and 20 inches in back yard for the 25% reduction(3 ft trench width).
Landscaping or other site alterations that potentially divert groundwater or surface water toward the septic system, or prevent
proper drainage away from the septic system, including the direction of gutter flows or foundation drains, is not approved, and
may result in failure to approve the initial system installation, or the suspension/revocation of existing permits.

The issuance of this permit by the Health Department does not guarantee the issuance of other permits. It is the responsibility of the
applicant/property owner to insure that all Catawba County Planning/Zoning and Building Inspections requirements arc met. This
Authorization to Construct Permit is subject to revocation if the site plan,plat or the intended use changes,or if site conditions are
altered. The Authorization to Construct Permit is not affected by a change in ownership of the property. This permit was issued in
compliance with the provisions of the North Carolina 'Laws and Rules for Sewaxe Treatment and Disposal Systems' (15A NCAC ISA
.1900). Neither Catawba County nor the Environmental Health Specialist warrants that the septic tank system will continue to
function satisfactorily for any given period of time

• Do not cut, drive, fill, or grade over septic or repair areas.
• Deck will need to be reduced in size by at least 5 ft to maintain 5 ft setback from
• proposed drainlines.
• Septic system must be 5 ft from property lines; 50 ft from wells and streams; 15 ft from a
basement; and out of right-of-ways and easements.
• Install a new 1,000 gallon septic tank and 1,000 gallon pump tank, unless the existing
septic tank can be shown to be structurally sound, in good working condition, proper size,
and can be fitted with a sanitary tee and filter.
• Pump tank will pump to a pressure manifold with 4 sch 80 1"taps.
• Install a total of 192 linear feet of drainfield. Front yard 75 ft 50%reduction system; (2)
20 ft lines fed by d-box and (1) 35 ft line with a maximum trench depth of 36 inches.
Back yard, 117 ft of 25% reduction system 4 total lines fed from 2 taps (20 ft, 35 ft, 35 ft,
25 ft) with a maximum trench depth of 20 inches. All lines are to be installed on contour.
• Installer should contact the Health Department and schedule a preconstruction meeting
before starting.
