ALL OTHER GREETERS AND HOSTS ON FIRST SHIFT RETURN TO YOUR LOCATION AT 4:30 TO GREET AND ASSIST VISITORS WHO WILL BE ARRIVING FROM HOTELS AND CONVENTION CENTER. YOU WILL BE RELIEVED BY THE SECOND SHIFT PEOPLE AS THEY ARRIVE – PLEASE GIVE THAT PEOPLE A QUICK REVIEW OF THE AREA WHERE YOU ARE ASSIGNED AND GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION THAT YOU BELIEVE MIGHT BE HELPFUL. THE HORN-OF-PLENTY OPENS AT 5:00 AND DINNER IS BEING SERVED STARTING AT 5:00 SO YOU CAN GO AND EAT AFTER YOUR RELIEF ARRIVES – IF SOMEONE HASN’T RELIEVED YOU BY 5:15 – PLEASE CALL ME ON MY CELL. SECOND SHIFT VOLUNTEERS TIME: LOCATION: ACTIVITY: VOLUNTEER 5:00 South Lobby, Art Museum Check-In and Get Name Tags All 2nd Shift Volunteers Check in Volunteers Angie Triplett 5:00-9:30 Outside South Outside – Greeting buses, Outside:Patricia Mathes Lobby/Inside directing to Lobby Lidia Miller South Lobby and Exhibits Judith Fri Inside – Directing to Horn-of Leisa Bentley Plenty, Exhibits, Museum Inside: John Eller Outside & Inside – Handout maps Teresa Worley 5:00-9:30 In North Lobby Greeting, directing toward Swamp Deborah Braswell Things Exhibits, Art Museum Angela Holcomb Planetarium/Aquarium Building, Library Horn of Plenty – Beverage Locations 5:00-9:00 Planetarium Lobby Greeting – advising of Planetarium Sandy Cooke Shows (every 20 minutes), Aquarium Assisting – beverage station** 5:00-9:00 In Art Museum Greeting, assisting – advising of Parvis Mollahassani Mini concert at 6:30 – Directing to difference exhibits (glass, upstairs folk art) 5:00-9:00 At Elevator/Stairs Greeting, assisting – directing to Kristy Connelly 2nd Floor Art Art museum or how to get back Museum To Horn of Plenty or Planetarium 5:00-9:00 Horn-of-Plenty Assisting – directing to exhibits, to Kathy Isenhour Outside in grassy beverage stations, different Temple Lawing area buildings – assisting Horn-of Plenty Darla Houser staff as needed. Creighton Avila Greeters for the buses and lobby will start assisting with departures at 6:00 – the departures may take less attention and it may be that we will only have two volunteers outside – if this is the case two will work until 7:00 and then be relieved by the other two outside greeters who will assist until the last bus at 9:30 – We will do everything possible to give you relief to go get something to eat or take a break – just call me (828-446-0331) and I will move people around when necessary – and when things get light in one area or another. ** Exhibits close at 8:00 but lobby & beverage station open ‘til 9:00. For those who inquire about beverages, only non-alcoholic beverages are available at Planetarium station – beer, wine & non-alcoholic beverages are available at Horn-of-Plenty and Art Museum stations.
